We finally received a good amount of snow. I had an appointment on Friday, when the snow was coming down hard. I hated the drive down, but coming back wasn't bad at all.
On the drive down to my appointment, I drove very slowly. I gave myself plenty of extra time, which was good because it took an extra 30 minutes to get there. By the time I got there, the back of my neck was aching due to it being tense for most of the drive.
I saw one truck that had gone off the road and into the ditch. There was a State Trooper there which caused everyone else on the road to slow down to my speed. Most of the cars sped back up as soon as we passed. Idiots.
The snow had stopped falling not too long after I had arrived for my appointment, so on the drive back home, the roads were pretty clear and mostly dry.
For the past 2 days, the temperature has been just above freezing, so it won't be long before the snow is gone again. This morning is a little chilly, so the melting snow has iced over, but it should warm up enough today to let it melt some more. Now is the worst time to drive. You have to take it easy due to black ice, because you can't tell if the roads are wet or iced over.
Oh! There is something I forgot to post. I will be going to California on December 13 and staying there until January 30. Dan will join me in California at the end of January. That will be so awesome! I'd like him to meet pty on this trip if time permits.
