I woke up and felt like I had water draining out of my ear. I went into the bathroom and discovered that it was bleeding. It has stopped now, but It feels like my ear is partially clogged. I guess it built up when I slept on my other side.
Looks like I'm headed to the emergency room...
I'm back from the emergency room. I perforated my left tympanic membrane. I had a build up of fluid behind the membrane and the fluid burst the membrane. Now I can't submerse my head in water or let the water from the shower spray directly into the ear because I now have an open pathway to my eardrum.
The Doctor said that it sounds a lot worse than it really is. It should heal fine all by itself, but I need to see an ear, nose, throat specialist to monitor that it does.
I've now added Amoxicillin to my list of pills to help with the infection that is in my ear. The Amoxicillin is giving me some major gas. :P
Both ears are sore and my hearing is diminished a little in my left ear. I still have a sore throat, so I hope that my right ear doesn't decide to cause problems too.
