Burning DVDs

I'm playing around, burning DVDs. I have a bunch of avi files on my hard drive that I need to get off, so I could free up some space. I learned that Nero automatically converts avi files into a viewable DVD format so you can play them on directly on a DVD player. That's awesome!

I have 51 episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist that I started to burn into a DVD viewable format, but I could only fit 4 episodes onto each DVD. Plus, my regular DVD player, that is connected to my TV, acted weird while playing the 3rd and 4th episode on the disc. Those episodes play fine in the other DVD drive (not my DVD burner) in my computer, so I think that my regular DVD player sucks. Because of that, I've decided to put the files on the DVD in data format instead. I can get 18-20 avi episodes on a DVD that way. Another reason why I decided against burning the converted files onto the disc is that the whole process took over 6 hours to complete, once I clicked the burn button.

I did enjoy creating the menu screen. It worked pretty slick in the DVD player.

I'm going to play around with it some more. I'm sure that I can tweak the burn settings to get future DVDs to play properly on a regular DVD player.
